Hanayome Noren Museum
Hanayome Noren (bridal curtains) are a wedding custom that originated in Noto, Kaga, and Etchu areas of the Kaga domain from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period.
The “Hanayome Noren Museum”, which was created to allow visitors to view hanayome noren at all times, opened in the spring of 2008, and the permanent exhibition room is a facility where visitors can view hanayome noren from the Meiji Era to the Heisei Era.
It also has a special exhibition room that displays local wedding culture, a “hanayome noren kuguri” experience where visitors can try to pass through the bride’s curtains in wedding attire, a store that sells original goods, and an exchange space that provides information on local tourism.
